Description

Learn to make this beautiful lap quilt completely by hand. Each lesson we will focus on different blocks and sewing techniques taking you right from choosing your fabrics and piecing each block to hand quilting & finishing with a beautiful binding. This course is open to all abilities whether you’ve never sewn before or want to make this lap quilt a little more mindfully than sewing with a machine.

2 weeks before the class you will receive an email from us with requirements of what to bring to the class. Most things will be available to buy in the shop beforehand or on the day. If you can’t find this email, please check your spam/ junk or contact us. Sometimes they end up there because we are a business.

Terms & Conditions

• Classes and courses can be booked in person in the shop, over the phone 01626 836246 and online on our website www.serendipityquilts.co.uk If booking online, please choose the ‘click & collect’ option so you don’t get charged for postage. We take cash and card payments.
• Classes and courses must be paid in full at time of booking to secure your place (Unless you are signing up to one of our Pay Monthly courses).
• Pay monthly is only available for certain courses which is outlined in the course description. If you would like to book one of these courses and pay monthly, please let us know before booking so we can send you a link.
• Classes and courses can be cancelled up to 2 weeks before the first class for a full refund or a store/ workshop credit. After the two weeks we can only give a refund if your place can be filled.
• If for any reason we have to cancel a class or course, you will receive a full refund.
• Two weeks before your first class you’ll receive a requirements list from us by email which explains everything to bring to your class. Most items you’ll be able to purchase from us on the day or before. If for any reason you don’t receive this email, please check your spam/junk or contact us.
• If there is a course you’d like to book but already know you can’t make all the dates, please speak to us, we’re very flexible and will be able to squeeze you in on another date.
• If a class or course requires a sewing machine, please bring your own as you know how it works and we don’t waste time in class. Please make sure it is running smoothly the day before, is regularly serviced and you have a basic understanding of it. If you’re not sure if your machine is suitable for a certain class, please get in contact with us. We always have a backup sewing machine here which you can borrow for £5 a day.
