£12.99

Enjoy the wonderful hand-sewing technique of curved English papering-piecing using glue-basting and the flat back stitch to make this beautiful cushion. This easy-to-follow pattern includes a full set of pre-cut paper templates, along with full colour illustrations that take you through the whole process.

The cushion finishes at approx. 18” square.

You will need:
• Depending on your chosen design, you will need either one 8” x 22” of a feature fabric for the clamshells, or five 4½” x 5¼ strips in co-ordinating prints
• One 3¼” x 10” strip of a co-ordinating print for the petals
• One 3” x 14” strip in a co-ordinating blender or solid for the crescents
• One 13½” square of background fabric
• Two 1” x WOF (width of fabric) strips for the flange border
• Two 3½” x WOF strips for the border
• One set of pre-cut EPP papers, which are included
• Temporary fabric glue pen (available separately)
• Thread for piecing – I recommend a 50wt or 60wt cotton, you could colour-match the thread to the fabrics, or use a neutral grey
• Gentle fabric starch, Best Press (available separately)
• Thread for hand quilting – I recommend a heavier 28wt cotton or an embroidery thread split into three strands
• 12” embroidery hoop (optional)
• 20” square of wadding and of butter muslin for the back of the panel
• 50cm x WOF fabric for the cushion back, and a 20” cushion pad
